Michael Merritt is a life-long resident of Comanche County. He grew up in the Flower Mound community and graduated from MacArthur High School. He was soon employed by the Lawton Fire Department, to which he dedicated 25 years of service, including over three years as the Training Officer. After retiring from LFD in 2013, he continued his service to the county by becoming a Deputy for the Comanche County Sheriff’s Department. Michael holds numerous certificates in fire safety and emergency operations. He is married to Kimberly and has two children, Morgan & Miranda.
