Youth Care Worker

Entry level position requirements:

• High School Diploma or high school equivalent (GED).

• 21 years of age and older.

• Must pass Background check

• Pass a Pre-employment drug test

• Pre-employment physical.

 

We are currently looking to fill all shifts.

(7:00am to 3:00pm; 3:00 pm to 11:00 pm; 11:00pm to 7:00am)

All inquiries are welcome and should be made M-F between 8:00am and 5:00pm to Administration of the Juvenile Detention Center at 580-357-2250.

 

Preference: Individuals who have some college and/or upper-level courses in the social sciences and work experience in the institutional supervision of juvenile are preferred but not required.

 

CCRJDC is a 24-hour lockdown facility. We are in operation 24 hours a day, 365 days per year.

Youth Care Worker I Requirements:

• Work in the Lock-down side of the facility where we house juveniles with felony charges or convictions.

• Supervise youth and enforce rules of the Detention Center, guiding youth in program participation and thereby providing security.

• Process all new admission and releases as set forth in the procedure manual.

• Record and maintain written records regarding behavior and adjustments of individuals during their stay in the Detention Center.

• Attend and participate in staff meetings and staff training (both online and in person).

• You may be required to work your eight (8) hour shift without a set break.
