What is the cost of a marriage license?
The marriage license fee is $50.00 dollars. If an authorized premarital counseling course (MUST show proof) has been completed, the fee will be $5.00 for a marriage license. In addition, if you are married by a judge, there will be an additional fee of $10. Accepted forms of payment are cash, money order/cashier's check or card. NO personal checks accepted.
What are the residency requirements for Oklahoma?
There are no residency requirement. You do not have to be a former or current resident of Oklahoma to obtain a marriage license.
Is there a waiting period from the application date to the date the license is issued?
No, you will receive your license immediately. If under age 18, there is a 72 hour waiting period.
Is there a waiting period from the date the license is issued to the date I am allowed to marry?
No, you can get married immediately after receiving your license. The license is only valid for 10 days, beginning the day it is issued.
What is the minimum age a man or woman may marry?
You must be 18 years old or older to marry without parental consent. A valid form of identification MUST be presented (birth certificate, State ID or passport).
Are blood tests and physical exams required?
No blood test or physical exam is required.
